As far as we know, there is one method to soft-brick your device that is unrecoverable (At least for now). You can brick your device if you do not disable Secureboot and install Windows 10 directly. Alexenferman takes no responsibility for bricked Surface tablets.
You do not need to downgrade. The reason will be very obvious after you start following the tutorial.
Yes, using Edge, Internet Explorer, invidio.us, but the best option is the app called MyTube. On the Windows Store, you can get a "Trial", however it never expires and you get access to all features of the App with no limitations.
Yes, a tutorial on that is coming soon.
Yes it is indeed Windows 10 ARM32, which was leaked in a very special way. We are considered very lucky to even have this build, although it's build 15035 (a.k.a. 1709), which is the Windows 10 Creators update, released in 2017.
First of all, let's clear out something, most PCs run on x86 processors (Intel, AMD), but the Surface RT and Surface 2 run on ARM processors, which means that the same Desktop programs used on your PC are not compatible with the Surface RT, and this is not a Microsoft restriction, this is a hardware restriction. But what if we run programs from the Surface RT on your PC? You will get a very similar message saying: "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with your software publisher." The answer is No, but you can run Jaibreak apps. Now, there is x86 emulation on Windows 10 on ARM, but only the ARM64 version, and not the leaked ARM32 version we currently have.
It depends on you. No one can really answer since it is personal preference and it also depends on what are you going to do with it.
It really depends. Performance is absolutely fine on the Surface RT. A small portion of Surface 2 users had performance problems and crashes, but don't be discouraged, as a lot of those people were having the same problems on Windows RT.
Yes, backup your data first!
Yes and No, and there are alternatives. There is an old version of the Windows Store which works and download apps, but the problem is that a lot of new apps are missing from it due to how old it is. There is a new Windows Store which does not download anything at all, and there is the ARM Store, which looks a bit similar to the real store, however, you can download all of the apps and install them, but some apps require you to actually "own" the app, but that can be easily fixed by downloading the same app on a PC with the same MS account logged in on your Surface RT and PC (On your PC, click on the "Get" and once the download started, cancel the download.) Check out the "Extras section" for more details.
We managed to get around 4 hours of screen on time and 3 days of standby on the Surface RT. Disabling Wifi is recommended if you do not use it, it will improve battery life. Keep in mind that the Surface RT is over 8 years old and batteries degrade, so you might get better or worse results.
Yes, with a very few exceptions. Actually, you do not need to jailbreak Windows 10, since it will run those apps without any signature verification!
No.
Yes.
